Dr. Weiskind’s Day is a fictional event inspired by real annual celebrations, such Father’s Day, that companies commonly exploit for marketing purposes. Dr Weiskind’s Day, often simply known as Weiskind’s Day, is an event held every year on 18 June. Weiskind’s Day promotes the sharing and matching of genetic information for medical, genealogical and dating purposes in many countries around the world.

Weiskind’s Day was first celebrated on 18 June 2012 in the United States. It was started by the US-based Donor Sibling Registry and medical company Geneshare Ltd to reduce the incidences of accidental incest and encourage people to value the importance of genetic information.
To mark Weiskind’s Day, people commonly exchange a Geneshare Ltd Genetic Pendant™, as well as edible gifts and greeting cards that encourage the sharing of genetic information. These items may not express real romantic interest or a true desire to identify new family members, but are often used more generally as a medium for social engagement.

		<description>
Tens of thousands of people are conceived every year using donated sperm. A single sperm donor can anonymously father multiple children, so there's a risk of ‘accidental incest’, where sexual relationships develop between half-siblings who are unaware they’re related. My work explores the role that genetic technology will play in romantic relationships in the near future - for example in the avoidance of accidental incest. I aim to examine how new biotechnologies, and the companies that develop them, might lead to new types of relationships between friends, families and lovers.
&#60;img src="http://payload27.cargocollective.com/1/0/16055/2845808/4_1020.jpg" width="720" height="479" width_o="720" height_o="479" src_o="http://payload27.cargocollective.com/1/0/16055/2845808/4_o.jpg" data-mid="18645633"  border="0" align="left"/&#62;&#60;img src="http://payload27.cargocollective.com/1/0/16055/2845808/3_1020.jpg" width="720" height="479" width_o="720" height_o="479" src_o="http://payload27.cargocollective.com/1/0/16055/2845808/3_o.jpg" data-mid="18645631"  border="0" align="left"/&#62;&#60;img src="http://payload27.cargocollective.com/1/0/16055/2845808/5_1020.jpg" width="720" height="479" width_o="720" height_o="479" src_o="http://payload27.cargocollective.com/1/0/16055/2845808/5_o.jpg" data-mid="18645634"  border="0" align="left"/&#62;&#60;img src="http://payload27.cargocollective.com/1/0/16055/2845808/6_1020.jpg" width="720" height="479" width_o="720" height_o="479" src_o="http://payload27.cargocollective.com/1/0/16055/2845808/6_o.jpg" data-mid="18645636"  border="0" align="left"/&#62;

'Accidental Incest' show and question the scenario which focus the case of a world where many more people are born using sperm or egg donors and accidental incest in the near future. What if the technology allows us to eliminate danger that a resulting baby could get genetic disease, sibling marriage becomes acceptable in social and cultural context? or not?

The portable devices are designed to capture and analyse the genetic contents of both sexes and allow transfer of their respective DNA sequences into the main device. Through genetic engineering, the main device re-programs both the man and women's gene to become free of a genetic disease. As soon as the main device receives their genetic information, bio-chemical sampling assays using nanotechnology allows creation of the new gene by spreading their body cells and letting them grow on the surface of a gold pendant.

After two weeks of cleansing, the gold pendant containing the new gene may be applied to pregnant women in the form of bio-patch delivery system. The new gene then is permeated slowly into the baby via this delivery system.

Beforehand, I studied the structure of umbrella; I dismembered  and reconstruct the structure and created a new object. The process of dismembering and reconstruction inspired  the making of this hood; I took the feeling of folding, flexibility and versatility. This hood can be a individual shelter. It is a weather proof. It can be a shade from the sunlight and rain.&#60;img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/0/16055/182935/cargo_hood_1020.jpg" width="782" height="1478" width_o="782" height_o="1478" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/0/16055/182935/cargo_hood_o.jpg" data-mid="783243"  border="0" align="left"/&#62;

		<description>FLASH JACKET
We were trying to create an image-making machine. The result was a camera-jacket: made from over fifty hacked disposable cameras. We synchronised the camera flashes in different rhythms, using a combination of relays and sensors to activate them. We then experimented with different ways of presenting the jacket. We simulated full body photographs to help imagine if we could also control the shutter. We also experimented with long exposure photography of the jacket.

		<description>Plug in City is inspired from 'Metabolist Movement' in late 1950's architect. The vision of a city of the future inhabited by a multi society was characterised by adaptive, modular, flexible and extensible structures that enable a transformative process. Similarly, I believe that the laws of space and functional transformation hold the future for society and culture, and this has been reflected extensively in Plug in City.

		<description>INTEL ROBOTICS
Over the coming years, Robot technology will slowly permeate into our quotidian lives, to the point perhaps of becoming seemlessly integrated, affecting or even mediating our relationship with others. This experimental video depicts what it might feel like if robots were involved in our most personal affairs: Eroticism, jealousy, obsession and unfaithfulness.

		<description>INTEL ROBOTICS
I was interesting about hidden interaction between family members. Especially, husband and wife or couples relationship. What if robot can detect and analyse someone who having an affair or not, should robot need to deliver the fact to partner? or should robot clean up all evidence for healthy family? I would like talked about "How much the robot / technology can involve in couple's dramatic situation and relationship?" or "Robot / technology can measure how much you love me?". I try to show these kinds of complexity and ambiguity about relationship with robot.

		<description>THIS IS NOT A KNOB PROJECT &#124; Productive Interaction &#124; Jae Kim
2010 ADOBE DESIGN ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS &#124; Non-Browser Based Design Semi-Finalist

People know that their time is limited and that they want things in their lives to happen in accord with their wishes. Realizing that their wishes have little power, they have sought technologies for gaining knowledge of the future and gain power over their lives. Because of this, many people in Europe and the Americas used many different methods for fortune telling such as tea leaves, astromancy, horary astrology, spirit boards, palm reading, and tarot cards.

For this project, I chose the Wheel of Fortune that is one of the symbols of the tarot cards. The Wheel of Fortune represents the intercession of random chance into a person's path. A common aspect to most interpretations of this card within a reading is to introduce an element of change in the person's life, such change being in station, position or fortune: such as the rich becoming poor, or the poor becoming rich. The Wheel of Fortune card has four interpretations; Turning point, Destiny, Surprises, and Life Cycles; i was trying to utilize the both effect of the "wheel of fortune", the meaning and the playfulness of the motion.

So I designed a physical model of the Wheel of Fortune. I used the mythopoetic graphic elements which generates a mystic and mysterious mood. I have created my own tarot system, which is divided into six different quadrants; The Devil, The Death, The Hermit, The Star, The Lover and The Sun. When you spin the wheel, a certain quadrant will get pointed and on the screen, it will show your future through a video that I created depending on the quadrant you landed in. There are six different videos that represents six of the each themes: The Death - The beginning of new life, The Devil - desire for physical things, The Hermit - need for prudence, The Star - a fresh hope, The Lover - harmony and union and The Sun - contentment and happiness. The experience of spinning the wheel will put you in a state of curiosity, anxiety, and displacement because you do not know what the answer will be revealed for you.

The physical interface that I created provides a chance to the audiences to experience both digital and traditional medium of predicting the future by manipulating the wheel. The video display, will be the digital representation of a traditional tarot card, yet its manner of showing will create a whole new experience.&#60;img src="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/0/16055/182285/cargo_wheel_pic_1020.jpg" width="782" height="3016" width_o="782" height_o="3016" src_o="http://payload.cargocollective.com/1/0/16055/182285/cargo_wheel_pic_o.jpg" data-mid="780553"  border="0" align="left"/&#62;

		<description>LOOK THINK WRITE is an authoring system for emerging screenwriters. Through this workspace, writers may incorporate visual, textural and sensory media with script, in the brainstorming process and amongst each other. This is especially useful in a classroom setting, where a group of people must communicate an idea. Inspirational imagery and sensory elements may be exchanged to inform that conversation.
Furthermore, by giving the screenplay a tangible counterpart, it becomes a more malleable, flexible entity; it can be shaped and molded with ease and intuition. The system has been designed through four devices, which communicate between each other through cloud data technology.

- The Writer's Notebook serves as a brainstorming tool and a capturing device. A sheet of e-paper, equipped with a camera, may be inserted into any notebook. From there, the writer's notebook may be used to brainstorm (as it is in the traditional sense), plus it can capture video, audio and stills.

- The captured information flows into Blocks. Wooden blocks are the housing unit for collected content and inspirational material. By way of mini, short throw projectors, these blocks can project this information on any surface, anywhere.

- Each block is meant to house the information for one "beat" (plot point) / character / location. They also sync with the written screenplay for easy editing. The blocks can be rearranged to change the order of actions or arranged side by side to compare material. Data may be shared between blocks and amongst writers.

- Snifters are the housing devices for scent. The writer may capture scent at any time and relay that data back to a snifter. When they return to the studio or the classroom, snifters may open to fill the room with the scent of a corresponding location in the film or perhaps the smell of a character's perfume.

- A Swatch &#38; Material Book is also present in this new ecology of writing. Textures are given to the writer as a Pantone book may be given to a designer. This book may be added to as well. By collecting textures, the writer may explore an their senses with the immediacy and intuition of textural references.
